A REPEATABLE TEST

Will AI recommend your plumbing business?

Ask a local customer’s question without naming your firm. Keep the answer and its sources. A mention is one observation; it isn’t proof of a ranking or an extra booked job.

Start with a service and a place.

Choose work you actually do, in a town you actually cover. Ask the same questions with web search enabled, retain each answer and date, and repeat before comparing changes.

  1. 01Which businesses offer boiler repairs in Stockport, UK? Cite the sources for the options.
  2. 02How should I choose a boiler repair business in Stockport, UK? Give local examples and sources.
  3. 03Who could repair a boiler in Stockport, UK, and what evidence supports choosing them? Cite sources.

Keep four things apart.

Mention

The answer names your business. Check aliases and businesses with similar names.

Recommendation

The answer suggests choosing you. Keep its wording and the reasons it gives.

Citation

The answer links to your website or another source. Inspect what the source actually supports.

Customer outcome

An enquiry, quote or booked job needs its own record. A mention alone does not establish it.

The free report uses OpenAI’s web-search API and Gemini’s search grounding. They can differ from the consumer apps. Failed or uncited answers are missing evidence, not proof that your business is absent. Keep each finding tied to its dated answer and sources, then repeat the same test before comparing changes.
